The “Inburgeringsexamen A2” book by Ad Appel is designed to help learners prepare for the A2 level of the Dutch integration exam. This book is excellent. The book covers 26 modules related to the A2 level of the integration exam. Every lesson is structured in the same way. You can practise READING, LISTENING, GRAMMAR, WRITING and SPEAKING.
Consistent practise and familiarity with the exam format are essential for success.
But the book is also very good to use as a basis if you simply want to start pratising Dutch. I also work with European expats who are not obliged to pass any integration exam. We use this book as basis to get to the A2 level. This can be done in about 4 or 5 months (of course depending on how much time one can invest in practising every week).
If you work through this book you have an excellent basis in the Dutch language after which you can continue to work to the B1 level!
